J Hare diamond drilling Ltd was established in 1989 and has expanded to become one of the leading diamond drilling contractors in the UK.
This expansion has been achieved through customer satisfaction by establishing close liaison at every level within main contractor organisations.We currently hold Term Order Contracts with, among others, Jerram Falkus Ltd, HG Construction Ltd, Laing O’Rourke Southern and Laing Midland, May Gurney Ltd and Kier Build Limited.
Operating from our offices in Hitchin, Hertfordshire with a fleet of over 30 vehicles, we are ideally positioned to cover all of London and the Home Counties and have carried out contracts throughout mainland UK and also abroad in Gibraltar.
Our base workforce of over 40, directly employed operators are all CSCS card registered and hold CITB Certificates of Safety Awareness and Certificates of Competence for the equipment they use. Around 95% of our operators have completed tier NVQ level 2 qualification, and the rest are not far from completion. All have passed the Health & Safety touch screen test.
We are committed to an ongoing training programme of both in-house and specific external courses regarding safety and equipment for all our employees.
All J Hare consumables conform to European Standard EN13236. We have recently achieved ISO14001 environmental compliancy.
Our safety record is excellent having never been issued with a prohibition or improvement notice, nor ever incurring any form of prosecution from the HSE.
Virtually all our work is executed by utilising our comprehensive range of directly owned plant and equipment.Regular maintenance and PAT testing are carried out by our full time directly employed fitters.
We are registered with Builders Profile, Competefor and Constructionline, among others and are awaiting final certification for the Railtrack Achilles Link-up.
